Busy November

Happy early Thanksgiving to everyone in the U.S.

My November started off busy and hasn’t let up. Not that it’s a bad thing, but it’s crazy. It started off with trying to get a new book started, which normally in itself is okay. I started a new 8 week class that meets every Tuesday and Thursday (except Thanksgiving day). Busy but do able, then comes a 3 1/2 intensive virtual conference.

The only saving grace for the virtual conference was I decided to rent an Airbnb at the beach and invited a writing friend to come write while I attended the conference. While the weather wasn’t the best, it was fun to sit and have a wonderful view of the ocean.

And one morning when the clouds parted just right had a beautiful sun on water view

It was great to getaway for a bit and not be in my own house. I needed the change of view. What about the pups, you maybe asking. Well, Tommy and Trina went to the dog hotel with day camp. They were treated to peanut butter on a cookie (they didn’t like the cookie) and ice cream each day. They played with other dogs all day, running themselves ragged.

I’m very happy they had such a good time. When we got home they passed out (they slept almost 2 days straight)

They were happy to be home and happy to see me as I was to see them. It’s the first time we’ve been apart overnight since I got them in Sept 2020. I’m pleased they did so well at the hotel.

So now, I’m playing catch up on everything since I was out of town. I don’t mind being busy, it makes the day go faster.

I hope everyone in the U.S. has a great Thanksgiving.

  1. Ah, the beach. It was an awesome weekend and I got a lot done. That’s not easy with that view. πŸ™‚ I’m so glad Tommy and Trina did well with boarding. I’m laughing at the sleeping for two days. They were worn out!

    • Laurie, it was great to have you with me, it made the drive (that hill) easier and having someone to talk to. As for Tommy and Trina, I’m not surprised, they played like there was no tomorrow.

  2. Those pictures are great. Makes me want a nap. I like this idea for a conference, retreat. I’m betting you both got a lot done.

  3. Glad you enjoyed your trip to the ocean and the virtual conference. The photo of the sun kissing the ocean is gorgeous.
Your pups certainly looked as if they’d had a fun time- completely exhausted! – but I bet they missed you, too.

  4. Lovely photos. And I am so jealous. Would love to escape to a beach retreat and concentrate on writing. Must be awesome. Sounds as though those gorgeous puppies had a fabulous time too. Wish someone would feed me ice cream and cookies everyday! πŸ™‚
