October Fun

I hope everyone is doing well. It’s tuned cold at night here in the Pacific Northwest. We’ve got a cold front moving in and let me tell you, brrrr.

I was so happy this month to be able to attend the musical performance of Jesus Christ Superstar at the Paramount theatre in Seattle.

I really missed the theatre for the last 18 months. It’s something my sister and I enjoy doing together, a show and dinner out. Sunday was no exception. The theatre had strict covid protocols (and enforced them), and the restaurant did a fantastic job as well.

I was pleasantly surprise that everyone was masked up even walking to and from the theatre and no one objected to anything. It felt really good to get out of my house for a while and enjoy myself.

Not much has changed around here, except Tommy is finally learning to come inside when he’s called. He’s been doing it for 3 weeks now (the longest ever). And that makes my life so much simpler. Also the dogs don’t seem to like these cold rainy mornings, Trina gets really fussy about going outside to do her business. Tommy goes out runs around, then does his business and comes in. I dry them both off when they come in.

This was them sitting on the sofa with me one day looking all cute.

I hope everyone has a wonderful month and Happy Halloween.

  1. Ahhh, I am soooo jealous. And so HAPPY you got to see Jesus Christ Superstar. The day out was probably just as important as the play itself. Hello to the pups! They are so adorable!!!

  2. So glad you got out and about. Those puppies look happy and loved.

  3. I love theater too. I’ve seen Jesus Christ Superstar here in Pensacola in a traveling production. I miss going to shows. Glad you got out and enjoyed one. I love the pup pics! Glad Tommy is learning to come when called in. Jillian

    • Jillian, it was the one thing when my sister and I went overseas a few years ago. We saw Phantom of the Opera in London. So much fun. We’re thinking in a couple of years of going to New York for a week and doing shows every night. Expensive, but worth it.

      • Ahhh. I used to go with my cousin every couple of years and spend a three day weekend doing shows. Such fun. Hope you get to do that.

  4. Glad you got to enjoy the show after so long denied, masks and Covid restrictions notwithstanding. I’m off to the cinema in a couple of weeks and can’t wait to get back, although a little uneasy about it!
    Trina and Tommy are adorable!
