Hopes and Dreams

After all these years of writing for OTBF, I’m drawing a blank on what to write about. I got nothin’. I’ve looked through my pictures for the month, which are woefully slim pickings. I reviewed the news. BIG mistake. Very depressing.

So I’m just going to post one of my favorite videos. I always smile when I watch Susan Boyle’s first appearance on Britain’s Got Talent. It reminds me to be hopeful. That there are always dreams to reach for.

  1. Classic. Remember watching at the time on TV and it sent shivers down my spine. Dreams should never, ever be given up on. Thanks for reminding us, Laurie. 🙂

  2. How about writing on what people can do during COVID times to get out and explore yet still maintain safety/ sanity. Maybe different hikes you’ve been on or beautiful drives like Chinook Pass etc. Our friends hiked up near Crystal and took Gondola down, said it was safe and everyone was masked. Love your blog!❤️

    • Thanks for stopping by. There are so many drives that are beautiful, especially here in the Pacific Northwest. You’re very right. I’ve been doing blogs about things we can do around the house, but I totally should have included drives. And I’ve done that gondola ride at Crystal Mountain. It’s beautiful!

  3. Like others I heard her and bought her first album. What a beautiful story.

  4. I remember that and I also loved it! She has a divine voice. Thanks for the reminder! Jillian

  5. I remember watching the show when she first came on stage. Loved the judges reaction. Absolute shock and awe. Loved it.
