Fall is almost here

I’m looking forward to fall. Although in parts of the Pacific Northwest it already feels like fall. We had a rare thunder and lightening storm last week. I’d never seen one  like this since I lived her. The next day on the news over 2,200 lightening strikes. That was a surprise but also not, as it lit up the night sky several times and we had lots of rolling thunder.

You may wonder how Miss Penny did. She didn’t even notice. I was more jumpy than she was, mainly because I hate lightening storms. It comes from my childhood where I was home alone in Oregon and there was summer storm and lightening struck the front lawn. I was a city girl I’d never seen that and I was afraid it was going to hit the house and me. Yes, I was very young, probably around eight.

I’ve been super busy writing. I have a book release next Monday. It’s the first in a series of short stories around four couples and game night at a local club. It was a fun and sexy series to write.

I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying what is left of summer time.

Miss Penny has been enjoying the sun as much as she can:

  1. Oh, boy, I hate to have to be the one to tell Miss Penny the sun is about to get chillier. (I haven’t told Dude that yet, either.) I hope she adapts to Fall easily. And congrats on the new book. It’s always fun, getting another one of our babies out there, isn’t it? Enjoy.

  2. We are only a few miles southwest of you and didn’t get that storm. Not complaining though. Love the picture of Penny this one is framable.

    Congrats on the release.

  3. Miss Penny is funny. Love the photo! Congratulations too on the book release. Hope it does well for you.
