December and the Holidays

I’m having a hard time believing its December already, but it is.

November was NaNo month and I did managed to make the NaNo goal of 50,000 words, but it was a struggle. I’m glad I did it.

Since my family is pretty large, we only shop for the kids under 18 and do a secret Santa for the adults. I’m lucky enough that all my shopping is done, except one gift card. I finished my baking up yesterday.

This week will be mailing out presents, and getting that last gift card. I do feel like December is moving really fast and before I know it the New Year will be here.

Our weather for the last 10 days has been dry, but cold. We barely make it to the high 40’s and at night its getting down to the low 20’s. I forget how cold the Pacific Northwest can get at times.

Everyone have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

So for this month, is Miss Penny, in her bed (of course) all snugly warm. She tolerates me taking pictures of her.

  1. Sure seems like Miss Penny is hunkered down for the winter. How is she doing going outdoors? We rocked Nano didn’t e? Congrats! And have an awesome holiday.

  2. Congratulations on completing NaNo. I’ve never done it. To chicken to try. Miss Penny looks like me this morning, I so didn’t want to climb out of bed.

  3. Ms. Penny is a girl after my own heart. Hibernating is the best thing to do in winter 🙂
