Happy Holidays

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.  And wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

It’s been busy around my house.  Thanksgiving was a family event that lasted most of the day, then came the recover time.  The great-nephews are playing basketball. One is 10 the other is 6.  So it’s been a flurry of games here and there.

While the ten year old played last year, he’s doing good and enjoying himself. The six year old, well that’s another story. At that age they don’t quite get it. It’s fun to watch them, as they are all feet and arms. Plus they forget to dribble a lot and just run with the ball in their arms.

This month I have to get my Christmas baking done, plus cards sent out.  Oh and then there is writing.  I have a beginning of the year deadline, plus I received edits from a book under contract.

And we’ve had the first snow of the season, it arrived last night (see pictures below). Miss Penny wasn’t happy she couldn’t run outside to do her business.  But she was also feeling a little out of it.  She had her two little teeth cleaned last Wednesday and it takes a good 36 hours or more before she’s back to be her normal self. Which I pleased to say she is back to her normal crazy self.

So here’s a picture I snapped last night.  She wanted to lay on my arm and sleep, so I let her.

And here’s the snow: Thursday night and Friday morning

Hope you all have a great holiday season.

  1. The snow looks beautiful! I love to walk in the snow. And poor Miss Penny, under the weather. But healthier in the long run, eh? Merry Christmas, Marie!

  2. Getting snow this time of year isn’t usual for the Pacific NW. But when it doesn’t stay long I’m good. This year has been exceptionally cold and winter won’t be here officially until the 21st.

I’m glad Penny’s dental procedure is behind her and like Laurie said, healthier.

  3. Hope little Penny is back to her normal self now. Bless her. Merry Christmas!

  4. Love watching snow falling but don’t like going out in it so can understand how Penny feels. Bless. Hope you had a lovely Christmas. 🙂

  5. What lovely pics of the snow. hope you had a great holiday season. And Penny, too. Jillian
