Ice Cream Pie

chefpic A friend makes this pie and it is so good. I’m going to make a few just have in the freezer. They are so handy and you could garnish them with berries or oranges or whatever.

6 oz. frozen concentrated orange juice or lemonade
1 pint vanilla ice cream, softened
8 oz. Cool Whip Topping, thawed
1 6 oz. graham cracker crumb crust

Blend juice and ice cream and fold in whipped topping until smooth. Freeze until mixture will mound. Spoon into crust and freeze until firm (4 hours or overnight). Let stand at room temperature 10 minutes before serving.

  5. Now that is my kind of dessert!!! But I’m not sure how long it would stay in the freezer .

  6. Yep LFFL but I usually think of these two words a pie alamode. 🙂 This one is easier to make.

Jillian, This pie is light as well as cold so for hot days it really hits the spot.

Naw Nancy we wouldn’t want to leave it in the freezer too long. It might get those little crystals on it.

Laurie, what I like is it’s easy to make ahead and still have something homemade for dessert.

  7. Yum! I shouldn’t, but I will 🙂

  8. Yum yum. Will be trying this out whether hot outside or not! 🙂
