Here’s my macaroni and cheese recipe with the secret ingredient of cream cheese!! Try it- it’s super smooth (FYI: the photo is a double batch).
3 cups of cooked, drained macaroni
1/2 cup butter
3 tablsespoons flour
3 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon of salt
4 oz cubed cream cheese
1 cup each of shredded sharp cheddar and shredded swiss cheese
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Melt 1/2 cup butter in large saucepan. Mix in flour til smooth. Add milk, salt and cream cheese. Continue stirring over heat until smooth and thick. Add the shredded cheeses. Add the macaroni and pour into casserole dish. Bake 30 mins or until golden brown on top.
