I particularily like this dessert if we have a heavy meal. And, it’s a great substitute for the traditional birthday cake.
If you use a bundt pan like I do, double the recipe.
1 ½ pints strawberry Ice Cream softened
1 ½ cups Bananas, mashed
1 c sugar
½ pt cool whip
½ c walnuts chopped
Line a chilled 6-cup bombe pan or mold with ice cream & freeze. In medium bowl, combine banana’s and suger. Fold in cool whip & nuts. Spoon into mold: cover and freeze 8 hours or overnight.
Umold when ready to serve. If desired, garnish with rosettes of whipped cream, and/or fresh strawberries.
Tip: I spray the pan with PAM to help unmolding it.
Makes 8 – 10 servings.
