Fun Food Monday – Garlic Mashed Potatoes

I won’t be surprised to see this recipe in many of your favorite’s folders already. For me I just started making it a couple of years ago and our family loves them.

One of my favorite part of these potatoes is that they are made the day before which makes for less pots and mess the day of dinner.

Ingredients:
Potatoes
Salt
Butter
Sour Cream
Cream Cheese
Garlic Powder

Boil potatoes in salted water and drain.

Mash them with a cube of butter, sour cream, and cream cheese. The amount of sour cream and cream cheese depends on how many potatoes you do. Put in enough to have the potatoes be a good mashed consistency.

Mix in Garlic Powder to taste. Note: They will be more garlicly (not a word but it fits) after setting and cooking the next day so don’t over season.

Put into 13 x 9 (or whatever fits) pan, cover and put in fridge overnight.

Take out of fridge early enough so the pan isn’t straight from cold to the hot oven.

Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. I don’t cover them unless they start browning to much then put foil over to finish them.
